Breton microwaves resin-treating plant for granite slabs

Good morning,
I wish to inform you that, besides a polishing line for granite slabs “Levibreton KG 4000 PLUS”, we installed the first Breton resin-treating line using microwaves at CERESER MARMI, a company that has been working marble and granite for quite a while.

A loader with vacuum cups lifts the material from the A-frame supporting the “humid slabs” (installed on a rotating platform). 

The work cycle of this automatic loader makes it possible to process slabs arranged in the "diamond-match" pattern as well. 

Slabs are placed on a support platform resting on the pick-up station.

After being rotated 90°, the slab is conveyed to a station which is used as a bypass unit, meaning that catalyzed slabs can be unloaded and humid slabs (in transit to the conveyor) can be loaded at the same time.

The platform with the slab is placed in the drying area of the kiln.

Once the time required for drying is over, both the platform and the slab are removed and placed on the conveyor that transfers them to the resin-treating station. If slabs are to be reinforced, the operator applies automatically a fibreglass net on the material surface using the suitable device. 

The application of the specific resin for microwaves on the slabs, either to beautify them or to glue the net, is executed automatically under the spray-gun of the resin-treating unit.

Slabs pass through the catalysis kiln one by one, according to the cycle time of the line.

After a possible manual retouching with resin, the unit transfers the supporting platforms to the lower conveyors.

The platforms with the resin-treated slabs are then conveyed to the cooling area of the catalysis station.

After a few minutes, cooled slabs are unloaded and conveyed to the bypass station where they are lifted so that the humid slabs can pass below.

The finished slabs are rotated 90° so that the automatic offloader can lift and unload them on the A-frame supporting the “resin-treated slabs” (installed on a rotating platform).

RAIL-MOUNTED SINGLE-WIRE MACHINE

Machine for squaring blocks and cutting slabs and thick slabs, performing a programmed and automatic cutting of several blocks placed on the floor.
The machine features an arc-welded steel structure which is heat treated to ensure the required stiffness of the system and a top cutting precision. It is provided with a large diameter driving pulley to rotate the wires, actuated by belts and an inverter controlled asynchronous motor that optimizes the wire peripheral speed in accordance with the material to be sawn.
A driven pulley with the same diameter is constantly kept under tension by a pneumatic cylinder thus giving the wire the ideal tension. The assembly is complemented by two independent, upper driven pulleys and two wire driving pulleys installed next to the points where the wire gets into, and comes out from, the block.
The machine is mounted on motorized wheels sliding on floor-fixed rails. Extremely simple to be operated, the machine is provided with a programming software with user-friendly interface for the execution of multiple cuts.

Polishing line Levibreton KG4000 PLUS for granite slabs

Hello,
Today I’d like to talk about granite polishing.

I visited the factory of CERESER MARMI in Rivoli Veronese a few days ago.
Mr. Domenico Cereser took over the company management after his father Gianluigi, the founder. CERESER MARMI, established in 1965, is specialized in the processing of marble and granite slabs.

Here Breton installed a line “Levibreton KG 4000 PLUS” for granite slab polishing, which mainly consists of:

1 – Slab automatic loader mod. JOT

2 - Laser detector of the slab thickness

The thickness of the slab feeding the polishing machine is sensed by a special laser detector that checks if it conforms to the expected thickness; if not, the slab is excluded and it is calibrated outside the line (if its thickness is higher) or rejected (if its thickness is lower).

Whenever the slab does not fall within the pre-set parameters, an audible and visual alarm turns on at the end of the line so as to forewarn the operator who can handle the material unloading accordingly.

TYPE OF MATERIAL: natural granite, reinforced with net+resin.
We will install very soon IMAGEPLUS, a Breton system to take, file and code extra high resolution photos of natural and engineered stone slabs, and label the slabs as well.
Therefore, within a few minutes, your own archive with true colour, extra high resolution photos of all the stored slabs will be available.
We will also install APP 22/35, an automatic unit placed before the slab automatic offloader, at the end of the polishing line, which is used to apply points or streaks of thermoplastic polymer on the slab polished face.  The function of the points/streaks of polymer (whose number, pitch and shape can be pre-set at will) is to protect the polished face of slabs whenever they are stored and handled arranged in a stack.
