Special high-removal head for granite levelling.

Each tool features an ideal (optimal) operating speed ensuring high removal and a longer service life.

The ideal speed of a diamond wheel on granite is approx. 30m/s.

Nobody has ever produced diamond satellite heads with a satellite rotation speed of 30m/s before. Breton developed MIRAGE, a head featuring a high tool rotation speed (30m/s equal to approx.  2.800rpm) and a low head rotation speed (about 250rpm).                    

- Double tool service life with respect to a head with oscillating bricks.

- Double removal capacity with respect to a head with oscillating bricks.

- Outstanding capacity of leveling out the slab surface undulations thanks to the following combined effects:

  - High rotation speed of tools.
  - Low rotation speed of the head.
  - Large volume and high rigidity of the head.
  - Head diameter of 510mm.

- Cost of tooling

1,5  times higher than a head with 8 diamond swinging bricks.

- Tool service life 

2 times longer than a head with 8 diamond oscillating bricks.

- Removal capacity

2 times higher than a head with 8 diamond oscillating bricks.

- Tool cost per m2

62% lower than a head with 8 diamond oscillating bricks.

- Hourly output

2 heads Mirage increase the speed of a honing/polishing line by 10-15% while ensuring an excellent leveling quality.

- Free maintenance for at least 4.000 hours.

- Replacement of gaskets, elastic components and oil every 4.000 hours.

- Bearings must be replaced every 25.000 hours.

- Gears last for the entire service life of the head.

- Using a special kit, it can be installed also on Levibreton KG with 19 heads SG8 at work.

- The head requires a 18,5 kW motor.

- The head requires back pressure.
- It is advisable to install 2 heads MIRAGE on the 2nd and 3rd position, respectively.
- The heads MIRAGE can’t be used on resin-treated slabs since they remove too much material.
